To celebrate 20 years since the first season of the reimagined series and 45 years since the end of the original, we are playing two episodes, one from each version, back to back.
Humanity flees into deep space, pursued by a relentless robot armada, searching for the legendary planet Earth.
Both episodes have a similar plot: The Galactica discovers a Cylon outpost and must utilize the aid of the traitor Baltar to help plan a sneak attack. However, the writing and execution are completely different.
While the original was a Star Wars/Star Trek inspired take on the ancient astronauts mythology, the remake was an allegory to 9/11 and the War on Terror.
Not only a fascinating examination of how remakes can improve upon an original premise, this will be a night of suspense and pulse-pounding interstellar space action!
