Wyrd War invites you to a special Rose Parade Weekend matinee screening of Lamberto Bava's unhinged horror epic DEMONS (1985) with lead actress and Portland’s very own Rose Parade Princess alumnus Geretta Geretta in attendance!
Possibly the most unforgettable monster movie from the gory glory days of 1980s Italian exploitation cinema, DEMONS takes place inside the perfectly meta location of a Berlin movie theater where all hell literally breaks loose during a private horror movie screening when sex worker Rosemary, played by Portland's Rose Parade Princess Geretta Geretta, scratches her face on an ancient mask in the theater lobby, precipitating an infectious outbreak of evil. And that’s just the part of the plot that sort of makes sense. Buckle your helicopter seatbelt and polish your samurai sword for a white-knuckle ride through the apocalyptic nightmare logic of Italy’s most hyperactive imaginations, punctuated by Claudio Simonetti’s contagious synth dance beats and a high octane heavy metal soundtrack featuring Motley Crüe, Accept, Pretty Maids, Saxon and Billy Idol.
