HRAFNAMYND

HRAFNAMYND is a raven-guided tour of location and memory. When filmmaker Edward Pack Davee (HOW THE FIRE FELL, LOST DIVISION, CROWFILM) began returning to Iceland, where he lived as a small child, to film ravens, he soon found himself overwhelmed by distant memories and familiarities. HRAFNAMYND is a poetic and personal journey through the power of early memory and the importance of images, location, and mythology. Davee's fourth film features his father’s Ektachrome slides from the early-to-mid 1970’s, and is driven by an original soundtrack and sound design by Portland musician and field recordist Patricia Wolf.
