Shallow Grave
Danny Boyle burst onto the scene with his theatrical film debut, SHALLOW GRAVE (1994, 92 min), a stylish and energetic thriller that mixed sharp wit with a streak of horror.
In this one-night class, we’ll dive into Boyle’s flair for pacing, visual style, and dark humor, and look at how SHALLOW GRAVE used horror themes to explore ambition, greed, and trust among friends. After the screening, we’ll open up a lively discussion about what makes this debut so unforgettable and why it may still resonate with audiences to this day.
This class will be taught by MMU instructor Kia Anne Geraths, a filmmaker and educator. Some of her previous classes include Arthouse Horror: Origins, What is Movie?, and Preach: Science Fiction and Morality.
Class size will be limited to 18.
