TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME

On this day in 1989 a beloved prom queen was found dead in the small town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Her name was Laura Palmer. The fallout of her murder was the basis for the groundbreaking television show TWIN PEAKS. In this prequel film David Lynch re-directs the spotlight from the amusing townsfolk characters from the show (and fan-favorite: special agent Dale Cooper) to the harrowing figure at the center of the decades-spanning mythology.

For David Lynch fans, this is one of the most intense and disturbing films in a filmography riddled with scenes of disturbed intensity. It's also a masterpiece in a filmography riddled with masterpieces. It is a sometimes-baffling work that has gained thematic resonance since the release of TWIN PEAKS: THE RETURN in 2017 (a series that further positions Laura as a person of great significance to the whole universe and not just the town). 

We honor the memory of Laura Palmer, someone known mostly through a single iconic photograph in the original series, by following her through the tragic blaze of her final days in TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME.
