Cult Horror Through the Decades

Cost: $90 ($75 members)
From critically acclaimed, to universally panned, to quite literally banned, we’re taking a tour of some unique cult horror picks from across four decades. Each week, we’ll dissect a film that’s earned a passionate following, whether for its artistic daring, midnight-movie madness, or unforgettable shock value. From the gothic strangeness of MORGIANA (1972), to the outrageous party horror of NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988), to the BBC’s boundary-pushing GHOSTWATCH (1992), and finally a standout from the 2000s (TBD), this class will celebrate the weird and wonderful corners of horror cinema.
Films:
7/10: MORGIANA (1972, 106 min)
7/17: NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988, 90 min)
7/24: GHOSTWATCH (1992, 91 min)

This class will be taught by MMU instructor Kia Anne Geraths, a filmmaker and educator. Her previous classes include the Cult Horror series, Intro to Varda, and John Sayles Retrospective.
