AIMLESS BULLET (1961, 112 min) is the story of a family’s struggle to adapt to life in post-war Korea. The story follows Cheolho, an overworked accountant trying to help his family. His wife is pregnant, his mother is bedridden with PTSD hallucinations, his brother is a veteran, and his sister is a sex worker for American soldiers. 

Considered to be the most influential classic Korean film, this class will focus on AIMLESS BULLET’s lasting impact on Korean cinema.

This class will be taught by MMU Education Instructor Satchel Stinson, whose previous classes include Twentieth Century Trauma: Post-Cold War Eastern European Films and Greener Grass.

Class size will be limited to 18.
