In its very first Portland unveiling, The SPooKy Girls: Before the Fall Preludes, is a series of short film vignettes, a peek into the daily activities, lives of a coven of modern teen witches, before they open a gateway to a daemonic death realm… and fall! 

It’s cool to be a witch right?

The SPooKy Girls was “crafted” by @thehandandtheshadow and some of the folks that brought you stop motion magic such as Coraline’s hairdresser, Paranorman’s clothier, Wendell and Wild’s doctor and The Shivering Truth’s make up artist.

Following the Movie Madness screenings, come see the original puppets up close and decipher the mysterious world of the SPooKy Girls at the Museum of Stop Motion Animation Headquarters! 

The Hand and the Shadow ~ Just lit up Movie Madness with the epic shadow show WhiTE KniVeZ and has been cutting video experiences for over 20years with Quintron & Miss Pussycat at the Hollywood Theatre; Japanther’s video Lil Taste, PICA TBA and Disjecta; and produced a surrealistic live music video with bassist Paz Lenchantin (Pixies/Perfect Circle).
