An Evening with G. Chesler: Connection | Isolation

Portland Director and Producer G. Chesler screens their new feature documentary CONNECTION | ISOLATION which explores trans lives and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. G. will also speak to the ethics and best practices of producing a film with, as, and for trans folks. Their practice as a disabled artist, working with participants with disabilities and neurodivergence, inspires their choices as a director and producer. G. will introduce films by trans and queer filmmakers that informed their creative choices in CONNECTION | ISOLATION, and share programs and opportunities for trans, queer, and disabled documentarians.
PLEASE NOTE: Masks will be required and will be on hand.
This class will be taught by G. Chesler, Director and Producer of sixteen award-winning documentary and fiction films that have screened at festivals and in communities world-wide through their production company G6 Pictures. G.is a Professor of film production, film studies, and gender studies, and a Board member of NW Documentary. CONNECTION | ISOLATION was supported by RACC and the Portland Events and Film Office.
