Sound and Fury: Punks on Film

Sound and Fury: Punks on Film
From the anti-establishment rejects who like their music fast and loud to the speculative cyber punks bringing anarchy to other worlds, punk is a keenly identifiable subculture that has found its place in the visual language of cinema across decades.

Sound and Fury: Punks on Film will explore varying representations of punk rockers in cinema and discuss how different filmmakers employ the subculture’s DIY ethos and outsider aesthetics to comment on political and social conflict, as well the ever persistent clashing of youth culture with the status quo.
